The Omega Schools chain has grown to 10 schools and 6,000 students in 2 years, creating a ‘school-in-a-box’ model that it is now ready to replicate more widely. Reaching financial break-even in 2011 was made possible through, in part, ultra-low overheads and the innovative all-inclusive daily-fee model, which has proven highly attractive to parents: within 10 days of opening, a new Omega School is typically at capacity, with 500 students, and hence fully sustainable.
